Agnes Acquah is a wife, mother of five, and a seamstress. Her career adds to her husband's relatively low income as a fisherman to help support the family. After finishing secondary school in 1987, Agnes learned her seamstress skills from a woman she worked for as a housekeeper. She soon became a wedding gown designer, but was left with only seasonal work and paychecks. Agnes's husband and children are most important in her life, and working with Global Mamas has allowed her to provide more for her family.


In the future, Agnes would like to build onto her home and send all of her children to college so that they can have successful careers. One of Agnes's biggest loves is to sew wedding gowns and hopes that one day Global Mamas will come out with a line of dresses for brides.
