Victoria wishes that she will be able to afford a car and hopes her children will become nurses or graphic designers.
Victoria Angmor, Bead Maker
Bead-Making Center (Krobo)
Thirty-three year old Victoria has been selling her brother's beads with her sister Barbara Tetteh for over 17 years, explaining that it has been her family's tradition for the women to sell the beads that the men make. Victoria's market table displays her vast, and her most prized, collection of Soweno beads, old trade beads of all colors and sizes. Victoria expresses that Global Mamas has increased her income by 30%, which has helped her and her husband, who works at the local hospital, send their three children to school. Victoria says she's entirely content spending the rest of her life as a bead seller.
