Phyllis Kubetaa Samekuu, Paper Maker
Hand Made Paper Site (Wa)
Phyllis came to Wa from her hometown of Fielmonu in the northern part of the Upper West Region to join her sister in 1992. Her Dagaate name, Kubetaa, means 'not her time to die' and brings her strength in difficult times. She has two children, Godfred and Godwyn, and she loves bringing new life into the world. Her goal in working with Global Mamas and partnering organization Holife is to excel in her newly acquired craft so that she can work her way up to a supervisory position.
