Deborah Asmah knew from an early age that she wanted to become a seamstress.  For her, sewing was not just a simple pastime, but instead it was a passion. She pursued her dream of becoming a seamstress by attending a vocational school where she was able to develop many specialized techniques that helped to elevate her as a master seamstress. Although she started her own business, <i>Deboy Cut to Fit Fashion</i>, she was falling victim to inconsistent sales and a low profit margin. Eager to expand and improve certain aspects of her business, Deborah believed that working with Global Mamas would bring her one step closer to becoming a successful seamstress; her decision proved correct. Since joining Global Mamas, Deborah's business has experienced significant growth. She describes her success saying, &#34;I used to hand sew napkins and now I produce book bags on a machine and am able to take on bigger orders.&#34; For Deborah, completing orders is not the sole matter of importance. Deborah explained that customer satisfaction is also a driving force as returning customers yield additional profits. Her goal is to own multiple shops that would be equipped with both a T.V. and a fridge, explaining, &#34;If the customer gets thirsty, I can give them something to drink.&#34; When she is not focusing on her work, she focuses on her family. Deborah's current salary allows her to support her immediate family and she hopes one day that she will be able to own a house where she, her husband and two children can live.
